Kazakhstan Take the Lead over the Netherlands in Euro Qualifier

In the opening movement of their Euro 2016 qualifier with Holland, Kazakhstan barely ventured into the Dutch half and enjoyed only a slither of the possession, but somehow they took the lead!

The Kazakhstanis won a corner in the 17th minute, which Renat Abdulin was able to put into the net via the crossbar with a darting header.

Earlier this week, Gregory van der Wiel joked, per Soccer News (via 101 Great Goals), that the only thing he knew about his opponents was Borat. He also predicted a 4-0 win for the home side in Amsterdam—so perhaps he will be taking the Kazakhstanis a little more seriously going forward.
